Wilbrett Construction was founded by Craig Wilbrett and Donald Allen, who remain directly involved in every project from start to finish. Their leadership shapes the process from early planning through final execution, ensuring clients work with decision-makers who communicate clearly, think ahead, and take responsibility for the outcome.

CRAIG WILBRETT

FOUNDER

Craig, Founder of Wilbrett Construction Company, brings a unique blend of financial expertise and hands-on construction experience shaped by an early start in the industry and a background in Finance. His career began in the surety business with Chubb Corporation, where he worked closely with contractors across the Southeast, gaining a deep understanding of risk, project execution, and the financial side of construction.

That foundation led Craig into operations leadership for a large General Contractor, where he quickly advanced into senior roles overseeing both residential and commercial projects throughout Florida. Working on projects ranging from $1 million to over $200 million, he developed a strong reputation for disciplined project management, clear communication, and building lasting client relationships. His diverse experience across project types and scales gives him a well-rounded perspective that benefits every client he serves.

Driven to build something of his own, Craig founded Wilbrett Construction with a focus on high-end custom homes. He remains personally involved in each project from inception through completion, ensuring every detail aligns with the client’s vision. Together with his team, Craig has built a reputation for delivering exceptional quality through proven systems, thoughtful processes, and a level of service that consistently exceeds expectations.

DONALD ALLEN

FOUNDER

With more than 40 years of residential construction experience and over 1,000 custom and speculative homes completed in Virginia and Florida, Donald brings a deep passion for creating exceptional homes from concept to completion. His focus is on the details, particularly during the design phase, where he works closely with architects and interior designers to ensure every element reflects the homeowner’s vision and lifestyle.

Since relocating to Naples in 2012, Donald has specialized in the construction of luxury custom residences, including many located on navigable waterfront properties, in partnership with Craig Wilbrett. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to building every home with the same integrity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that he would expect in his own home. The result is a personalized building experience and a finished product that reflects the highest standards of quality and excellence.

MIKE RICHARDSON

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Mike brings over 30 years of construction experience to Wilbrett Construction, where he has been a key member of the team for the past five years. A 1997 graduate of the University of Florida, he earned his degree in Building Construction from the M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management.

He has played a lead role in the construction of more than 100 custom homes, along with numerous renovations throughout Southwest Florida. Starting in the field at a young age, Mike developed a strong, practical foundation that continues to guide his work today. His background as both a project manager and estimator allows him to effectively bridge the gap between planning and execution, ensuring projects are well-managed from start to finish.

A lifelong Naples resident, Mike offers deep local knowledge and strong relationships within the community. He is a past president of the Naples-Pelican Bay Rotary Club and a recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Florida.
